The Rev. Emily Dunevant

The Rev. Emily Dunevant received a master of divinity degree from Union Theological       Seminary in New York with an emphasis in Interfaith Studies and Ecumenical Theology. Before coming to Grace Church, Emily served as the Director of Multifaith Initiatives in the Office of the Chaplaincy at the University of Richmond. Her focus has been on creating stronger communities across lines of religious and cultural difference.

Emily has spent time in Israel, France, Morocco, South Korea, and Indonesia, where she has studied the intersection of faith, politics, and society. Her special interest is in the power of religion to create positive transformation in the world.

Now at Grace Church, Emily is building upon the strong ties of Goochland County and the commitment that our community shares to love and serve each person. Her goal is to nurture spiritual formation, build worship opportunities, and increase service & outreach.

Emily received her undergraduate degree from Winthrop University in Art History and spent many years in marketing and fundraising. She is also a certified yoga instructor.

Emily and her husband, Dwayne, live in Goochland with their children.
