"The ministry of lay persons is to represent Christ and His Church; to bear witness to Him wherever they may be; and, according to the gifts given them, to carry on Christ's work of reconciliation in the world; and to take their place in the life, worship, and governance of the Church." (The Book of Common Prayer, page 855)

Everyone has a gift to share. As Christians, we are called to utilize those gifts through worship, outreach, and leadership. A thriving church is one that reflects Frederick Buechner’s famous words regarding the place where your greatest joy meets the world’s greatest need. That’s the intersection of faith and calling - where your inner spiritual path intersects with your outward desire to build the body of Christ in the world.

It’s important to recognize that depending on your time and talents, you will most likely participate in different ways at different stages of your life. No matter where you are on your faith journey, we hope that you will find a way to engage more deeply in your Christian life here at Grace Church.

We encourage you to explore the links listed under the Serve tab to see where you might get involved!  If you have questions or would like more information about anything listed, please contact the Rector directly at emilydunevant@gmail.com.
